Katie Mech

Welcome to my biography! My name is Katie Mech. I was born and raised in the Milwaukee area where I attended Northwest Lutheran School and Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Then I went on to college at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. I graduated from Concordia in 2002 with degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Art Education (K-12). I began my teaching career at North Lake Elementary School in North Lake, Wisconsin in 2002, where I taught full-day kindergarten. After teaching there for one year, I was called to teach 3-year- old Preschool, 4-year-old Preschool, and half-day kindergarten at Beautiful Savior Lutheran School. A few years later, Beautiful Savior added a full-day kindergarten. Currently, I am enjoying teaching full-day kindergarten and K-2nd grade art. I am also working toward and have nearly completed my master's degree in Early Childhood Lutheran Special Education from Concordia University Wisconsin. During my nights and weekends, I spend as much time as possible with my family. My husband, Paul, and I recently had a baby boy, William, who has truly blessed our lives!
