Mary Soat

Thanks for taking a peek at my bio! My name is Mary Soat. I was born and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1976. I attended Concordia College in Milwaukee and graduated in 1980. In August of 1980, I moved to Milwaukee and started my teaching career at Ebenezer Lutheran School. I taught first grade, second grade, and first and second grade there for nine years. After a move back to Waukesha, I worked for six years at the YWCA Child Care Center in Waukesha. During my time there, I enjoyed working with preschool and school-age children. In 1995, I became the Child Care Center Director at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. However, I missed teaching, so when Beautiful Savior started its school, I talked with the Board of Education and became the “first” first and second grade teacher. I have been teaching first and second grade at Beautiful Savior for over ten years. For over 25 years, I have been teaching God’s precious young ones. I love them dearly and each one (and there have been quite a few) has touched and blessed my life in many different and unique ways.
