Making a “joyful noise” to the Lord – what a calling! My name is Sherry Marose. I was born in Chilton, Wisconsin and when I was 4, my family (I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters) moved to Seward, Nebraska where my father attended Concordia Teachers College (now Concordia University Nebraska). My father was principal and teacher for many years, and I was raised with a desire to spread the Word of God with a joyful heart. My family pursues this through “music”. With many pastors, teachers and especially musicians in my family, I chose to attend Concordia in Seward, NE, where I received my degree in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Music. My husband, David, and I were married in 1981 and graduated in 1982. We have been blessed with one son, Kristofer, who is currently attending the University of Minnesota. Since college I have been in the Music Ministry either part time or full time. I was Music Director at Prince of Peace - Crestwood, MO, Organist at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church - Edina, MN. We then moved to Florida (2 weeks before Hurricane Andrew) where I was Music Director at Holy Cross Lutheran Church - North Miami Beach and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and School - Hollywood. I have been the Music Director here at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and School for 10 years. I have been blessed with the joy of making music at many age levels over the years and enjoy “making a joyful noise to the Lord!”
